Fighting in front of their fans, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" achieved their first victory of this season in the "Optibet A Lyga."
In the second round, Marijampolians defeated the Kaunas district "Hegelmann" footballers with a score of 2:0 (1:0), giving their coach Dovydas Lastauskas their first win.
At the beginning of the match, the blue and whites made some unprovoked mistakes, but they had a great opportunity to score. After a good pass from Michael Thuique, Giedrius Matulevičius took a shot, but debutant goalkeeper Giedrius Zenkevičius skillfully saved the team.
In the 16th minute, G. Zenkevičius caught Misaki Sato's shot, and in the 35th minute, "Sūduva" broke through. Oleksijus Zbunis provoked a foul from Vilijus Armalas in the penalty area, and after the referee awarded a penalty, Jevhenas Protasovas scored from the second attempt.
