Madrileño defending the honor this season, but still belonging to London Jose Antonio Reyes expressed a desire to become a full-fledged member of the "Royal" club this summer.

The winger, who arrived in London to play in January 2004, was not satisfied with life in England and did not hide his desire to return to his homeland. His dream came true last summer, but it may only be temporary - "Gunners" loaned J.A.Reyes for one season and in return they got Julio Baptista for the same period.

For the 23-year-old footballer from Madrid, injuries prevented him from showing his potential and securing a guaranteed place in the starting lineup, but despite this, the Spaniard said he did not want to return to "Arsenal".

"The end of the season is approaching, so I have to prove my worth, but I worry if the club trusts me," said J.A.Reyes.

"I wanted to play here and I hope to stay, but whatever happens, I will never call this period of my career a failure."

Currently, the player, who has played in 14 matches in the starting lineup in the Spanish championship, is recovering from a knee injury suffered in a match against "Getafe". He should return to the field this weekend.

"I am running without problems and playing football in training with my teammates," added J.A.Reyes. "My knee feels strong and I hope to be included in the lineup for the match against Celta Vigo."
