"The underdog of the German Bundesliga" club has extended the contract with their forward Oliver Neuville for another two years. The 33-year-old Swiss-born footballer has been representing the Mönchengladbach club since 2004. "I have already accustomed to this team and this city. I don't think we will drop out of the Bundesliga this season, but if it were to happen, I will give my all to bring the team back to it," - said the forward. "Gladbach" currently holds the last, 18th place in the German championship after 26 rounds and is 5 points behind the safe 15th position. O. Neuville started his career in 1992 at "Servette" in Geneva, represented Spain's "Tenerife" in 1996-97. In the summer of 1997, he returned to Germany and played for Rostock's "Hansa" and Leverkusen's "Bayer" before joining "Gladbach". O. Neuville also represented the German national team 65 times, scoring 9 goals and becoming a World Cup runner-up in 2002."
