Vilnius "” refused the services of another legionnaire and welcomed back a footballer who represented the team a couple of years ago.
The 20-year-old, 183 cm tall forward from Slovenia, Blaž Pucas, became another foreign footballer who failed to fit in at "Žalgiris".
"We failed to reach an agreement with B.Pucas because there was a difference of opinions between him and his agent. The player himself was undecided about his future. In such a situation, it is impossible to reach an agreement," - said the president and head coach of the Vilnius club, Arminas Narbekovas.
The "Žalgiris" director also announced that after a year's break, forward Nikolajus Misiukas is returning to the club. This 195 cm tall athletic footballer represented Žalgiris in the 2005 season. Last season he played for the reserve team of the Russian club Tomsk "Tom", and before this season he participated in a trial at Simferopol "Tavria", but did not establish himself in this Ukrainian club. N. Misiukas has also represented the Lithuanian under-18 national team.
"With the return of this forward, our squad will be practically complete. N. Misiukas and V. Mižigurskis will be the main attackers of the team," - said A. Narbekovas.
