Four of the "royal" club's goals came in the first half. In the 22nd minute, Rodrygo put the hosts ahead.
Next came three lightning-fast Karim Benzema goals. In the 29th minute, the Frenchman "finished off" Vinicius Junior's pass, in the 32nd minute, Benzema completed a great solo run with a shot into the top corner of the goal, and he added a third goal in the 36th minute by shooting through himself, beating the opponents' goalkeeper.
Marco Asensio also contributed to the goals, scoring his team's fifth goal in the 73rd minute.
Carlo Ancelotti's charges sealed the deal in the 90+2 minute when Lucas Vazquez scored.
After the match, Madrid's "Real" still confidently sits in second place in the league table, with 12 points separating them from the league leaders "Barcelona."
