The management of the Baltic Football League decided to return the Daugavpils "Dinaburg" club to the tournament after requests from "Kaunas" and Narva's "Trans". However, after new fraudulent activities by a Latvian team were revealed, it was once again removed from the league.
"Dinaburg" was disqualified from the Baltic league in mid-March due to a very suspicious loss to Narva's "Trans", when the Estonian team secured victory after two goals at the end of the match.
However, the Lithuanian champion "Kaunas", whose match with "Dinaburg" at home was scheduled for Sunday, together with "Trans" decided that it would be beneficial for them to play as many matches as possible, and unofficially offered to bring the Daugavpils team back to the league.
This request was granted, but on the eve of the "Kaunas" and "Dinaburg" meeting, rumors arose that the Latvian club could again deliberately lose the match, and hundreds of thousands of euros were bet on the result in favor of the Kaunas team.
Upon hearing such rumors, it was decided to once again remove "Dinaburg" from the league, so the match scheduled to take place in Kaunas was once again cancelled.
