Rome's "Lazio" is approaching a return to the Champions League with giant steps.
Maurizio Sarri's team defeated Turin's "Juventus" 2-1 at home.
The hosts started the match actively and took the lead in the 38th minute - the goal was scored by Sergej Milinković-Savić. Juventus had a potential penalty for a handball by Alex Sandro, but VAR did not see any foul.
However, just before the end of the first half, Juventus managed to equalize with a goal from Adrien Rabiot.
In the second half, "Lazio" secured the victory after a fantastic attack by Mattia Zaccagni.
Juventus had opportunities to level the score, but it all ended with a crucial victory for the Rome team.
M. Sarri's team now has a 7-point lead over the "Inter" team in fifth place. Juventus remains in seventh place.
