“Feyenoord” achieved a narrow revenge against “Roma” for the Conference League final.
In the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal, Arne Slot's team defeated the visitors from the Italian capital 1-0.
At the beginning of the match, the leader of the visitors Paulo Dybala suffered an injury, and he was replaced by Stephan El Shaarawy.
At the end of the first half, “Roma” had a chance to take the lead. Mats Wijffels handled the ball in the penalty area, but Lorenzo Pellegrini was inaccurate from the 11-meter spot.
At the start of the second half, Wijffels himself was successful - “Feyenoord” overturned the result and ultimately celebrated victory.
The second leg will take place in Rome in a week.
