The London team "Chelsea" decided to take advantage of the opportunity and extended the contract with Enzo Fernandez for an even longer period.
Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reports that the "blues" activated a clause in the contract and extended the current agreement for another season.
This means that E. Fernandez will be "tied" to the team until the summer of 2032.
The 22-year-old World Champion arrived in England in January, when he was acquired from Lisbon's "Benfica" team for a sum of £107 million.
In the Premier League, he made 2 assists in 10 matches.
