Saudi Arabia's football fans were unpleasantly surprised when they witnessed the aggressive behavior of the world-famous star Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a local league match, the 38-year-old Portuguese player grabbed an "Al-Hilal" player by the neck and was punished with a yellow card.
However, the "Al-Nassr" team did not intend to condemn or punish their most famous footballer.
As messages from fans against the athlete began to spread on social media, the Riyadh team released a statement.
"C. Ronaldo is suffering from the injury he experienced. His clash with 'Al-Hilal' representative Gustavo Cuellar began when the opponent hit the Portuguese player in a very sensitive area.
This information is confirmed. And fans can think whatever they want," the statement from "Al-Nassr" read.
