“Manchester United” finished their performance in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, as they suffered a 0:3 defeat to the "Sevilla" team in the second leg of the quarterfinals.
After the match, "Man Utd" manager Erik ten Hag highlighted the serious mistakes that prevented them from advancing to the semifinals.
“It is obvious that making such mistakes makes it extremely difficult to win football matches. It is likely that the atmosphere in the stadium also contributed to this, but it shouldn't be an excuse.
We lacked composure. We couldn't handle the pressure from the opponents, which would have helped us create more space upfront.
In the end, we made poor decisions, resulting in too many losses. The opponents simply wanted to win more.
We had a great opportunity to compete for the trophy, but we let it slip away. We can only blame ourselves,” Erik ten Hag spoke to BT Sport after the match.
