Zagreb's "Dinamo" team's Brazilian-born Croatian national team striker Eduardo da Silva has extended his contract with the country's champions for another 10 years.
"I hope to stay here until the end of my career, I want to meet the club's expectations and win trophies," said the 24-year-old E. da Silva in a given interview.
"I've been here for seven years and I will be happy to stay for another ten. I never doubted that. There are many great players in the team and it's fantastic to be one of them," added the league's top scorer with 25 goals.
Born in Brazil and holding Croatian citizenship, the striker, who has played over 97 matches for "Dinamo" and scored 57 goals, also contributed significantly to the successful performance of the Croatian national team in the qualifications for the 2008 European Championship.
The player once stood out in victorious matches at home against the English national team, and even managed to score three times against the goalkeeper of the Israeli national team.
