In the second half, the picture on the field remained similar, but no goals were scored in the first 90 minutes, so the teams had to play extra time.

In the first half of extra time, "United" players were already more active, but the audience did not see any goals again.

In the second half of extra time, "Brighton" created the most dangerous chance, but they failed to convert it into a goal, and after 120 minutes, the scoreboard still showed two zeroes, so the teams had to settle the score in an 11-meter penalty shootout.

In the penalty shootout, both teams successfully converted six penalties in a row. Solly March missed the seventh penalty for "Brighton", while Victor Lindelof's precise strike secured victory for "United".
