Brazilian national team and French "Ligue 1" champions club's goalkeeper Juninho suffered a groin injury in the League Cup final against "Bordeaux" and will be out for several weeks.
The 32-year-old captain of "Lyon" team got injured in the middle of the second half of the French League final against "Bordeaux" last Saturday and had to leave the field immediately. "Lyon" lost 1-0 after a fierce battle.
"Juninho won't be able to help us between 10 and 15 days," confirmed "Lyon" club doctor Jean-Jacques Amprino.
Due to this reason, the free-kick master will miss two French championship matches against "Valenciennes" and "Sedan". The club hopes that the goalkeeper will join the team in the match against "Rennes" on April 18.
Currently led by Gerardo Houllier, "Lyon" is confidently leading the "Ligue 1" championship and is close to winning their sixth consecutive league trophy.
