Due to the pursuit of the title of the German champion, Bremen's "Werder" club received reinforcement - the team's captain Frank Baumann and national team midfielder Tim Borowski are returning to the squad after injuries.
F. Baumann did not play for the last five months due to a groin injury, while T. Borowski underwent a groin operation in February.
"Everything was going great. I have no problems and I hope it will continue," - the team captain spoke about his recovery.
"I no longer feel pain, but the coming days will determine everything and show how durable all of this is. For that, I should praise our medical team. We don't want to take any risks," - said 27-year-old T. Borowski.
With seven rounds left to play in the Bundesliga, Bremen's "Werder" club is currently in second place in the standings, just two points behind the leading team "Schalke". On Thursday, they will face AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup quarterfinals away from home.
