Bremen club goalkeeper Torsten Frings announced on Wednesday that he is considering the possibility of moving to Turin this summer.
"Juventus wants me at any cost. They want me to be not just an ordinary goalkeeper, but the main game organizer," the German did not mince words speaking to the newspaper "Bild."
"Lately, I have been thinking a lot about this opportunity."
Meanwhile, the news came as a surprise to Klaus Allofs, sports director of Werder: "We do not intend to create pressure. If Torsten no longer wants to represent our team, I will not force him."
"In the past, we have been successful in finding new talents and in general, we do not rely solely on one player."
Playing in Serie B, the second strongest league in Italy after the bribery scandal revealed last year, Juventus is expected to return among the strongest in Italy next season. This is enticing for the player who represented the German national team 66 times and has a contract valid for another three years, who arrived in Bremen in 2005 from Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Werder currently holds the second position in the German championship and seriously aims for a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.
