The head of the Munich "Bayern" team, Oliver Kahn, commented in the press on reports of the club's attempt to acquire "Napoli" striker Victor Osimhen.
It was claimed that the Germans were unpleasantly surprised when they learned of the African's release clause, reaching up to 150 million euros.
"When we talk about such sums, we must ask the question: 'Will the player guarantee success, paying such amounts?'"
This, of course, would be a very big risk," clarified the German.
He also spoke about the missed opportunity last summer to acquire talent Erling Haaland.
"A year ago, we tried everything to attract the Norwegian, but ultimately we reached our financial limit.
We had to decide whether it was worth breaking our salary structure. However, we were not yet prepared for that, it is not the 'Bayern' style," said O. Kahn.
