Belgium national team and Brussels club defender Anthony Vanden Borre has reached an agreement for a transfer to the Italian "Serie A" club currently occupying the 7th place in the championship. This was confirmed by the player's agent.
The 19-year-old defender's contract with the multiple-time Belgian champions was supposed to end only in 2010, but a clause in his contract allows him to leave the club in advance and it seems that this will happen exactly in the summer.
"What can I say about Vanden Borre's future? There is a mutual agreement between the player and Fiorentina," emphasized the defender's agent Antonio Stina. - "Moreover, an agreement has been reached between the two clubs."
"So, at the moment Anderlecht does not need Vanden Borre's help because the club is trying to solve some issues regarding the future without him. When will he sign a contract with Fiorentina? Maybe before the month of June," added the player's agent.
The young talent A.Vanden Borre has been playing for Anderlecht since he was eight years old, and recently several European clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, and Levante Valencia have shown interest in acquiring this promising defender.
According to the Belgian media, the versatile player met with representatives of Fiorentina club last month and was offered a three-year contract, and both clubs allegedly agreed on a transfer amount of over 3 million euros.
Fiorentina has already added a young talent to their ranks - a forward belonging to Arsenal and loaned to Derby this year has signed a long-term, five-year contract with the "Violet" team.
