On Friday evening in the "Ligue 1" championship match, "Lyon" defeated "Monaco" at home with a score of 3:1.
"Monaco" scored first in this match and did so already in the 2nd minute. The penalty kick was converted by Wissam Ben Yedder.
However, the "Lyon" players did not falter and responded with three goals of their own. Alexandre Lacazette equalized the score in the 38th minute, Maxence Caqueret put the hosts ahead in the 57th minute, and Rayan Cherki secured the team's victory with a third goal in the 78th minute.
After these matches, "Monaco" still ranks fourth in the league table and has lost all chances to play in the next season's Champions League.
