Due to the change of venue, Berlyno's “Union“ facing the next season in the Champions League experienced failure. In the away game, they lost to “Hoffenheim“ with a score of 4:2.
“Hoffenheim“ scored the first two goals of the match. Ihlas Bebou and Andrej Kramarič scored in the 22nd and 36th minutes respectively.
“Union“ managed to reduce the deficit in the 45+5 minute when Danilho Doekhi scored a goal.
The hosts restored their two-goal lead when Andrej Kramarič scored a double in the 90th minute.
Two more goals were scored in extra time. In the 90+5 minute, Aissa Laidouni gave the guests a glimmer of hope by beating Hoffenheim's goalkeeper, but in the 90+9 minute, the hosts' goalkeeper Munas Dabbur solved all the questions in this match by sending the ball into the net.
After the match, Berlyno's “Union“ still remains in fourth place in the league table, but they have the same number of points as the “Freiburg“ players below them on the ladder.
