“Brighton” on Wednesday played a 1-1 draw with “Manchester City” and secured a spot in next season's UEFA Europa League.
After the historic achievement, team manager Roberto De Zerbi praised his team and stated that they deserved a place in the Europa League.
“It was a very tough match. We knew playing against ‘City’ is never easy. Still, we played very well and deserved a point. We are worthy of playing in the Europa League.
When the situation in the match was difficult, we did not try to change our style of play. We pressed ‘Man City’ players in every corner of the field. I think it requires great courage”, De Zerbi said after the match with “City”.
