Victory of leaders in the Bundesliga © EuroFootball.com

On Saturday, seven matches of the 28th round of the Bundesliga were played, after which there were no major changes at the top of the table, as all the leading teams managed to secure victories.

The most realistic contender to take the title from Bayern remains the Schalke team, this time defeating the bottom-placed Gladbach team at home in the second half. Gelsenkirchen's team showcased G. Asamoah and K. Kuranyi, with the latter scoring his twelfth goal of the season.

The victory allowed to maintain a six-point advantage over the Munich club, which narrowly defeated the Hannover team 2-1 away. Bayern had to fight back after their own defender Daniel van Buyten redirected A. Bruggink's shot into their own goal just before the end of the first half.

After the break, the visitors improved their game and in the 53rd minute, M. Demichelis broke through two defenders to level the score, and towards the end of the match, B. Schweinsteiger scored the winning goal after a beautiful combination.

Perhaps the easiest victory was achieved by the Stuttgart team, winning 4-2 away against Hamburger. After playing for an hour, the Stuttgart players already had a four-goal lead and did not let go of the victory for the remainder of the match. With seven rounds left in the championship, Armin Veh's Stuttgart team is four points behind the league leaders and occupies the second place, which they will likely have to give up to Werder tomorrow.
