Dortmund's "Borussia" had everything in their hands, but wasted it all not for the first time.
"Borussia" played 2:2 in the last Bundesliga round at home with "Mainz", while Cologne's 2:1 victory over "Bayern" players celebrated their 11th consecutive German champions title.
Edin Terzic's students created significantly more opportunities in their matches than their opponents, but the main problem was two early missed goals. Sebastian Haller had a chance to equalize the score from the penalty spot in the 17th minute, but the Frenchman was inaccurate.
In the very end of the match, Niklas Sule equalized the score (2:2). BVB had a few more attacks, but they ended unsuccessfully.
In the other stadium, where "Bayern" played, the score was level from the 81st to the 89th minute, but then wonderkid Jamal Musiala spoke his word. The attacking midfielder scored a great goal and extended the title for the "Bavarians".
Although the teams collected the same number of points, the Munich team triumphed thanks to a better goal difference.
