Without Toms Radzinevičius, Lithuanians celebrated Easter with goals in four different leagues - the recently started Latvian championship, Estonian league, as well as in the second division in Denmark and Sweden.

In the first round of the Latvian championship, the "most Lithuanian" team Liepaja "Metalurgs," coached by Benjaminas Zelkevičius, faced Daugavpils "Daugava" and defeated their opponents 3-1. Darius Miceika scored in the 13th minute for the runner-ups, and Mindaugas Kalonas scored in the 84th minute. Vadimas Petrenka also played for "Metalurgs" team from the 87th minute, while Aurimas Kučys debuted for the "Daugava" team and played the entire match.

Meanwhile, the defending champions "Ventspils," who were left by Igoris Stukalinas and Deimantas Bička during the offseason, unexpectedly fell to "Riga" team with three Lithuanians. Tadas Papečkys played the full 90 minutes, Martynas Karalius remained among the substitutes, and Andžejus Maksimovičius was not registered for the match.

In Estonia, Tallinn's "Flora" defender Tomas Sirevičius stood out by scoring a goal in the 51st minute contributing to a 2-0 victory against Lasnamäe's "Ajax" team and was soon substituted. The league leaders of Tallinn "Levadia" won 4-0 with Vitoldas Čepauskas and without Marius Dovydenas against "Kuressaare." Tallinn "TVMK," with Tomas Rimas playing the whole match, won 2-0 away against Parnu "Vaprus" club, while Tartu "Maag Tammeka," with Eimantas Marozas playing until the 73rd minute, lost to Narva "Trans" team.

In the second division of Denmark, the team led by coach Aurelijus Skarbalius, "Herfolge," played a draw away with "HIK" club. Rytis Leliūga scored for the visitors in the 60th minute after coming on in the second half, while A.Skarbalius played the full match. "Herfolge" is currently in 9th place with 22 points in the second division of the country.

The new season of the Swedish league also kicked off on Monday. After two unsuccessful years in the middle of the standings, the 2004 vice-champion "Halmstad" successfully started with a 2-1 victory at home against last year's fourth-placed "Helsingborg." Although the visitors took the lead at the beginning of the second half, Tomas Žvirgždauskas equalized the score a minute later and later "Halmstad" scored again to secure the victory.
