London leaders have decided to immediately dismiss head coach Chris Coleman and his assistant Steve Kean.

At the moment, the capital's team is only in 15th place in the national championships and has not won in seven consecutive matches. Despite such poor results, the strategist's dismissal was unexpected to many.

"It is unfortunate that we have no other choice but to terminate the contract with C. Coleman," says a statement from Fulham.

"Chris has done an excellent job over the past ten years, but the club has certain goals that must be achieved."

36-year-old C. Coleman arrived at Fulham in 1997 as a player for 2 million pounds. However, his career was interrupted in 2001 by a serious injury suffered in a car accident, after which he decided to hang up his boots.

In 2003, he became the head coach of the club, taking over the reins from Jean Tigana.

It has already been decided that the dismissed specialist will be replaced by the coach of the Northern Ireland national team, Lawrie Sanchez, who is performing well in the European Championship qualification matches.

"After a discussion with the president of the Irish Football Association, Jim Boyce, it was decided that for the remaining five Premier League matches, Fulham will be led by L. Sanchez," the statement reads.
