Spezia leaves the Serie A championship.
In a direct battle for survival, Verona's "Hellas" defeated Spezia's footballers 3:1.
In the 5th minute, Davide Faraoni put Verona ahead, but after 10 minutes, Ethan Ampadu scored his first professional goal to equalize.
Just before the end of the half, Cyril Ngonge scored a "double" and Hellas built a solid advantage.
In the 70th minute, Spezia had a fantastic chance to get back in the game, but M'Bala Nzola missed an 11-meter penalty. Faraoni of the opposition team also received a red card, but Spezia's players did not return to the match.
The vacant spot will be filled by Cagliari players. Sampdoria and Cremonese have also left Serie A.
