One of the best footballers informed PSG that he does not intend to take advantage of the opportunity to extend his contract beyond the next season, which caused anger among the club's leaders.
The French champions are ready to sell K. Mbappe this summer if he does not agree to sign a new long-term contract.
Reacting to the situation in communication with "RMC Sport," French President Emmanuel Macron commented that he is preparing to take action to ensure that K. Mbappe stays to play in his native country.
"I may not have all the necessary tools, but I will try to do everything to keep Mbappe in France," said E. Macron.
In response to the President's words, K. Mbappe himself did not hesitate to react, stating that his and E. Macron's desires coincide, and next season he is ready to defend PSG's honor.
"Macron will definitely not influence the decision about my future. He hopes I will stay at PSG, but I want the same for next season. So, our positions coincide," commented K. Mbappe on the situation.
