The Italian sports media did not spare any praise after Wednesday's 2-0 victory in Munich against Bayern in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, securing a spot in the semi-finals.

The victory on Wednesday, which marked Milan as the first team to beat Bayern at the Allianz Arena in a European tournament, allowed the Italian club to advance among the four strongest European teams this season, alongside three English clubs: Man Utd, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

The cover of "Tuttosport" released on Thursday displayed the headline "Milan, it's only you".

Meanwhile, "Corriero dello Sport" crowned the Milan club as "kings of Europe" due to their impressive and unmatched performances in European competitions over the past years: since 2003, Carlo Ancelotti's players have won the Champions League once, lost in the final once, and reached the semi-finals twice.

"Fly, Milan, fly" announced "La Gazzetta dello Sport," previewing the upcoming semi-final clash with Man Utd, who thrashed another Italian team, AS Roma, 7-1 on Tuesday.

The same newspaper claimed that "at the moment, Manchester United is the most fabulous team in the world playing football".

Indeed, Milan hopes to repeat the history of 2004-2005 when they eliminated the Red Devils in the Champions League quarter-finals.
