“Newcastle United” club, it seems, will manage to acquire at least one midfielder from Italy.
“The Athletic” journalist David Ornstein announces that “Newcastle” is nearing an agreement with “AC Milan” for the acquisition of Sandro Tonali.
The deal is expected to be around 70 million euros, adds D. Ornstein.
Previously, “Newcastle” also targeted Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella. However, the “Nerazzurri” did not want to start negotiations and stuck to their asking price of 80 million euros.
This could be the most expensive “Newcastle” transfer this summer due to the financial fair play (FFP) restrictions.
