„Newcastle United“ team successfully concluded negotiations for the acquisition of „Milan“ club defender Sandro Tonali.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the English will splash out 70 million euros (plus possible add-ons) for the 23-year-old footballer, securing him the title of the most expensive Italian player of all time.
Until now, defender Jorginho, who was exchanged for 57 million euros from „Napoli“ to London's „Chelsea“ team in 2018, could boast of such an achievement.
In the „Newcastle“ team, S. Tonali will earn 7 million euros per year (plus an additional 2 million euros as possible add-ons).
The contract will be valid until the summer of 2029.
S. Tonali has been defending the colors of the „Milan“ team since 2020, when he left the „Brescia“ club.
