On Sunday, the "Werder" and "Bayern" clubs, who played in the match, won victories and maintained intrigue in the fight for the title. With the championship nearing its end, the league favorites entered into a crucial battle - all four leading teams won three out of the last four matches.

In the middle of the week, successfully advancing in the UEFA, on Sunday, the footballers of Brеmen's "Werder" defeated the "Borussia" team balancing on the edge of relegation with a score of 2-0.

M.Klose broke a somewhat of a goal drought in the Bundesliga by scoring the first of the two goals of the match: after a pass from the young forward of "Werder" Aarоn Hunt was unsuccessful in his attempt to strike, M. Klose easily redirected the ball into the net from close range, scoring his first goal in the last eight matches.

Just before halftime, German club's Diego secured Werder's advantage with a magnificent shot from 23 meters, sending the ball into the top corner of the "Borussia" goal. In the Bundesliga, the Brazilian has already scored eleven times.

Teams still have to play five more matches, with "Schalke" leading by only two points against "Werder". Both clubs will still have to face every team fighting for survival in the remaining rounds.

The hopes of defending the title have not been lost by "Bayern", who on Sunday defeated the recently struggling "Bayer" team at home with a score of 2-1. The Munich club gained the advantage just before halftime when M.van Bommel defeated the "Bayer" goalkeeper after receiving a long pass from Philipp Lahm.

Shortly after the break, the hosts' advantage was doubled by R.Makaay, scoring his fourteenth goal in the championship. The 400th Bundesliga match of "Bayern" goalkeeper Oliver Kahn was somewhat spoiled by A.Voronin, who softened the result in the 60th minute.

"Bayern" is still trailing the leaders by six points and occupies the fourth place, which does not grant the right to compete in the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Leverkusen's "Bayer" club, experiencing its fourth failure in the past ten days, dropped to sixth place.
