Last season, Steven Gerrard, who worked at Aston Villa, decided to accept an offer from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq this summer.
The decision of the 43-year-old coach surprised not only one football expert, but S. Gerrard himself decided to explain it.
"We want the Saudi Arabian league to continue to grow and become one of the best in the world.
I think Al-Ettifaq has already shown that they have a great culture and amazing fan support. The club management has a lot of ambitions and puts a lot of effort into the whole process.
"Al-Ettifaq has many great people who represent this club. When I arrived in Saudi Arabia, I felt like this club was one big family," Gerrard told Sky Sports.
