Bremen's team defender Tim Borowski injured himself for the second time in his comeback after a previous injury during the weekend Bundesliga match against Borussia. T. Borowski strained his left thigh muscles.
"It will be a terrible misfortune if Tim cannot play for a long time again," disappointed Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf said.
This is already the third injury for the Werder defender this season. In October, he also suffered a left thigh muscle injury, and at the end of February, the footballer underwent groin surgery. T. Borowski returned to the field last week in the UEFA Cup quarterfinal match against AZ and scored a goal, but injured himself again on Sunday.
26-year-old T. Borowski has been with Bremen's club since he was 16 years old.
Currently, Werder is in second place in the Bundesliga. In the UEFA Cup, the German team has already reached the semifinals, where they will meet Espanyol from Barcelona.
