Current Rostock club goalkeeper Mathias Schober will leave the German port city after this season and return to the club in Gelsenkirchen.
The current Bundesliga leaders M. Schober represented between 1990-2001, but played only 25 Bundesliga matches. The 31-year-old goalkeeper moved to "Hansa" before the 2001-2002 season and played 106 matches there. Rostock's team is currently second in the 2nd German Bundesliga with 5 games left and realistically aims to return to the top division.
"For the next season, we need an experienced goalkeeper. Mathias, a product of 'Schalke,' is an excellent choice," said the general manager of the Gelsenkirchen team, Andreas Muller."
