English and Swiss footballers will not encounter additional problems if they want to compete in Italy.
The football federation of this country has announced that from now on, English and Swiss players will be considered equal to European Union citizens.
According to the established rules, Italian clubs can only sign contracts with two non-EU players per season.
The decision could pave the way for several well-known English players to join Serie A, as Serie A teams are interested in them.
