Ousmane Dembele should be moving from Barcelona to PSG these days, but this transfer is linked to many interesting details.
First of all, PSG should buy out the 26-year-old Frenchman's contract for 50 million euros. If the Paris club wanted to make this move after July 31, then they would have to pay 100 million euros.
For Barcelona, this is the worst timing for a transfer. The Catalan club will receive only 25 million euros. Last summer, O. Dembele extended his contract with a buyout clause, where half of the amount of 50 million would go to him and his agent.
The forward's agent Moussa Sissoko is a very important figure in this case. His influence is shaping this transfer.
Moreover, "L'Equipe" reported about a very interesting offer. O. Dembele's camp wanted the transfer because Barcelona and PSG were planning to exchange Mbappe and Gavi with Dembele. The latter would go to Paris, and Mbappe to Barcelona.
O. Dembele, who did not want such grandiose exchanges, decided to move to PSG at the end of July and earn additional millions with his agent. If the transfer happens for 100 million euros, then all the money would go to Barcelona only.
Xavi in the Catalonia team would like to replace the Frenchman with Bernardo Silva. This move should free up funds for Joao Cancelo's transfer, which the Spanish champions desire.
