At the Women's World Cup, there were several surprises.
In the final G group match, the South African women's team defeated the Italian footballers 3-2.
In extra time, Thembi Kgatlana scored a goal and sensationally eliminated the Italians from the World Cup. South Africa finished second, while Sweden finished first, winning all the matches.
Meanwhile, Brazil, led by legend Marta, also left the tournament.
Brazil couldn't beat Jamaica (0-0), which advanced to the knockout stage. It is worth mentioning that the Jamaican team had to ask for help from fans to be able to travel to the championship, which takes place in Australia and New Zealand.
In other group matches, France defeated Panama 6-3.
