The famous club striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stated that he plans to end his footballer career after the next season. The Norwegian's contract with the Manchester team expires just after the next season, in the summer of 2008.

"I have one more year left on my contract and I will gladly play it out. Do I plan to play after that? No," said the 34-year-old Norwegian to his country's press.

Lately, O.G. Solskjaer has been troubled more and more by knee injuries and pain. However, this season he represented "United" 27 times.

The striker from Norway arrived at "Man Utd" in 1996 and over the years became a hero to the fans. During that time, O.G. Solskjaer scored a total of 128 goals. One of them the striker will remember for a long time - when in 1999, in the Champions League final, he scored the decisive goal in the last seconds of the match against Bayern Munich.

"I always hope that the upcoming season will be the best. This one is exactly that comparing to the last two - three injury-filled years. I think I can play one more season at the highest level," added the footballer.

O.G. Solskjaer has previously mentioned that after retiring, he would like to work in the "Man Utd" coaching staff.
