Official: M. Caicedo joined "Chelsea" for a record amount

On Monday evening, "Chelsea" officially introduced the 21-year-old Ecuadorian as the new player of the team.

According to the media, the "aristocrats" paid a total of 115 million pounds sterling, including bonuses, for the defensive midfielder from the "Brighton" team.

M. Caicedo became the most expensive "Premier League" player of all time, surpassing his new teammate Enzo Fernandez. In January, the London club paid 120 million euros for the Argentinian, slightly less than 110 million pounds.

Since coming under new ownership led by Todd Boehly, "Chelsea" has already spent over 1 billion dollars.

Soon, the club is expected to be joined by Romeo Lavia from the "Southampton" team.
