After three weeks since the closing of the player registration window in Visaginas, the attacker Nerijus Astrauskas has strengthened the team. The club lent N. Astrauskas to the Liepaja "Metalurgs" club for two seasons last year, but the Latvians did not adhere to the agreement and refused the services of the footballer before the end of the term.
It seemed that N. Astrauskas could end up in the ranks of "Šiauliai" before the start of the season. N. Astrauskas was included in the team's application, but due to legal disputes, the footballer was not registered as a "Šiauliai" player.
"Inter" coach Ivan Švabovičius confirmed that N. Astrauskas is training with the Visaginas team and could already appear on the field in the match against Klaipeda "Atlantas".
N. Astrauskas is a very fast forward, known for speed just like Artūras Jeršovas. I. Švabovičius says that having such forwards is very beneficial for "Inter".
"We are newcomers, so every team playing against us tries to press us. Having very fast forwards, we can counterattack very well," said the "Inter" strategist.
It is not yet clear whether N. Astrauskas will be loaned to "Inter" until the end of July or until the end of the season.
