Messi - about Miami and the chances of winning the "Ballon d'Or

Lionel Messi has a chance this weekend to win his first trophies with the Miami "Inter" team.

In the league cup final, the team represented by the Argentine will face the "Nashville" team.

Before the final, Lionel Messi answered questions from journalists at a press conference about his chances of winning the "Ballon d'Or", life in Miami, and his move from PSG to the "Inter" team. 

"What do I think about another 'Ballon d'Or'? As I have already said, this award means a lot in football, it is one of the best individual awards, but it has never been so important to me because, as I have said, I value club trophies more.

If I'm being honest, I don't really think about the 'Ballon d'Or'. If I receive it, great, if not, nothing will happen. I have already won a lot, achieved everything in football, now I just enjoy this moment. I only lacked one thing - a World Cup with my country, that was my biggest dream," said the 36-year-old forward.

The new leader of Miami "Inter" had praise for the city itself: "It was hard to move from Barcelona to PSG, at that time that transfer (from PSG to Miami) was completely different, comparison. I didn't want to move to PSG, I never wanted to leave Barcelona. Everything happened quickly. I had to quickly adapt to a new environment after many years in Barcelona. It was difficult, but it's nice that here in Miami everything is different."

"I made the decision to come here and enjoy football. Coming here was a family decision. I just want to play football. That's why I chose this place and that's why I am very happy. Not only because of sport, but also because of everyday life here, in Miami," Messi said.
