UEFA announced contenders for the best season player award

The candidates for the UEFA 2022-23 best season player award have been revealed.

Among the three candidates are Lionel Messi (Miami "Inter"), Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne (both from "Manchester City").

Messi has two of these awards to his name, while Cristiano Ronaldo has three such prizes on his account. He became a world champion with Argentina last season.

Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne became champions of the Champions League with "Manchester City."

UEFA also announced the candidates for the season's coach title. The contenders are Simone Inzaghi (Inter), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), and former Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti.

Interestingly, "Real" forward Vinicius did not even make it among the top 10 best players of last season. Ilkay Gundogan finished fourth, Rodri fifth, Kylian Mbappe sixth. They were followed by Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic, Declan Rice, Alexis Mac Allister, Jesus Navas.
