The leaders of the Italian Football Federation have chosen a new head coach for the men's national team.
It has been officially announced that from now on the "Azzurri" team will be led by Luciano Spalletti, who will take the place of the unexpectedly departed Roberto Mancini.
"The national team needed a great coach and I am very happy that he agreed to take on this position.
L. Spalletti's enthusiasm and experience will be crucial for the upcoming challenges," said federation president Gabriele Gravina.
The next matches will see the Italians play against North Macedonia and Ukraine. These will be very important matches for the 2024 European Championship qualifiers, as the Italians are currently in third place in Group C.
