Two Ronaldo goals secured "Milan" victory © EuroFootball.com

On Saturday, two matches of the 33rd round took place in the Italian league. The "Milan" club further solidified their fourth place by defeating the "Cagliari" team, while "Sampdoria" managed to secure a victory against "Messina".

"Milan" won the home match against "Cagliari" with a score of 3-1, even though coach Carlo Ancelotti allowed some stars to rest before the Champions League semi-final match against "Manchester United". Ronaldo, who is unable to play in European tournaments due to injury, led the Milan club to victory.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 14th minute. "Milan" veteran Marcos Cafu took the ball from his opponent Cristiano Del Grosso, and despite complaints from the "Messina" players about a foul, the referee allowed play to continue. M.Cafu passed the ball to Ronaldo, who only had to send it into the net.

The next goal was scored in the 69th minute. "Cagliari" goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti failed to clear a ball crossed by M.Cafu, and it fell to Ronaldo, who managed to score a goal with his chest and double his team's lead.

However, five minutes later the visitors regained hope. Kakha Kaladze collided with Andrea Capone in his team's penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty kick to "Cagliari". David Suazo successfully converted it into a goal.

Yet in the 80th minute, any hope of equalizing the score for the visitors was dispelled by Andrea Pirlo, who secured his team's victory with a superb penalty kick from 25 meters. However, at the end of the match, "Milan" suffered a loss when their defender K.Kaladze received a second yellow card for holding the opponent's shirt.

The "Messina" club further worsened their situation in the fight for survival. The team lost 1-3 to the "Sampdoria" team as visitors, making it the sixth consecutive failure for this club.
