Respectively, clubs "Kaunas" and "Sūduva" finished Sunday's match in Marijampolė with a peaceful 1-1 draw, taking the first and third places after four rounds.

Marijampolė's "Sūduva" stadium, 2600 spectators Referee - Saulius Atmanavičius Marijampolė 1 - 1 Kaunas "FBK" 72' [0 - 1] Ričardas Beniušis 75' [1 - 1] Willer Souza Oliveira

Match started with inaccurate attacks from both teams. The first more dangerous episode occurred in the 14th minute near the "Kaunas" goal, when the home team defender Aleksandr Sobol entered the penalty box, passed the ball to team captain Darius Maciulevičius, but his shot missed the target.

In the 18th minute of the match, "Sūduva" forward Nerijus Mačiulis had a great opportunity to score, but he hit the ball unconvincingly and it flew completely off target.

In the first half, there were no more dangerous episodes for the goals. Therefore, the teams went to rest with a score of 0-0.

After the break, about 10 minutes of cautious play followed, both teams controlled the ball in their own half, sharpening attacks only with long passes.

Later, the game became much more active, and as a result, after a great pass from "Sūduva's" Brazilian Willer Oliveira, D. Maciulevičius found himself alone against the goalkeeper, but the experienced player failed to control the ball, and with the help of rushing defenders, the danger was neutralized.

As time went on, passions heated up. A yellow card was shown for a rough foul to the safety Tom Miklinevičius. Both teams were not prepared to finish the match without goals and attacked. The first to start actively attacking were the players from Kaunas, whose work was often aided by the unconvincing home defenders.

In the 71st minute, after a mistake by one of them, Senegalese "Kaunas" legionnaire Pascal Mendy, who recently joined the field, came dangerously close to the opponents' goal, but at the last moment, rushing "Sūduva" defenders directed the ball behind the goal line.

The corner was successfully raised by the guest forward Rafael Ledesma, and the Kaunas defender Mindaugas Bagužis tried to head the ball towards the goal, but the ball flew over the goal.

Then, incidents in the field were overshadowed by clashes in the stands between fans of the teams. Several guests passed by the local fans' stand and were booed, stoned with various objects. This escalated into a small skirmish, which security quickly quelled.

After a moment, the first goal of the match fell. In the 72nd minute, after a successful ball crossed by P. Mendy, the most productive A League player, Ričardas Beniušis, scored.

"Sūduva" did not have to wait long for a response. Within a few minutes, they launched an attack that allowed them to level the score. After the right-back Giedrius Slavicko lifted the ball into the penalty area, confusion arose. The hosts attacked several times, but either the shots were blocked by the opponents, or the ball hit their own teammates. Willer Oliveira helped. He sent a rebounding ball into the net, equalizing the score.

In the 76th minute, R. Ledesma attacked "Sūduva's" goal, but Saulius Klevinskas was in the right place and confidently repelled the shot.

Just a couple of minutes after the jewel-like accurate pass from Willer Oliveira, N. Mačiulis left the defenders behind, but luck was on the side of the Kaunas players - the defender lost control of the ball, and the dangerous attack was interrupted.

After a brilliant combination, when the ball passed continuously through the legs of several players, K. Jasaitis missed the goal from about 8 meters. This was the last real chance to score. The match ended with a score of 1-1.
