The sole leader of the second division of Spain, the club, on Sunday defeated the Tenerife team 2-0 away and, with eight games left until the end of the championship, secured a ticket to the highest Spanish league - "La Liga".
Jose Luis Mendilibar's team leads the second-place team by ten points, but the "Valladolid" players, unbeaten in 28 consecutive matches, have a larger lead of 26 points over "Ciudad Murcia", who are in fourth place.
"Valladolid" features several well-known players, such as former Madrid "Real" and Madrid "Atletico" defender Garcia Calvo, former Sevilla "Betis" forward Tote, and former Real Madrid youth academy goalkeeper Borja.
