Jerzy Dudekas announced that he will take advantage of the opportunity to leave the club in the summer, as he got tired of feeling 'like a slave'.
The contract of the hero of the 2005 UEFA Champions League final will expire after this season and the Pole does not hide his desire to try his luck in another team.
"It's time to tell coach Rafael Benitez that I'm leaving, because maybe he doesn't know yet," - said the 34-year-old veteran, who is already being eyed by "Wolfsburg" and Rotterdam's "Feyenoord".
"I will remember Liverpool as a place where I achieved great successes, but ultimately I did not fit in.
"When a footballer knows he is a slave, he will never give his whole heart in the matches."
The Pole, who arrived in England in 2005 along with Pepe Reina, has watched many matches from the bench as a substitute player and also warned his colleagues not to sign contracts with "Liverpool", as they await the same fate.
"In order to acquire a good goalkeeper, the club should pay 3-4 million pounds, and R.Benitez would immediately tell him: 'You will sit on the bench.
"But no well-known player wants to come and play under such conditions, so it's better for them to keep me."
R. Benitez commented on the situation diplomatically: "We are considering his future and not ruling out the possibility that J. Dudekas will leave us, but that certainly doesn't mean he is not psychologically prepared for Wednesday's Champions League match against Chelsea."
This season J. Dudekas has played only five matches, with just one in the Premier League. His performances as a goalkeeper in the FA Cup and Carling Cup against London's Arsenal were especially unsuccessful - in these matches he conceded a total of 9 goals and received a fair amount of criticism.
