Before the selection window, Cristiano Ronaldo traditionally interacted with the Portuguese media.

The 38-year-old forward will continue to try to help his national team qualify for the European Championship. At the press conference, he was asked about the Messi-Ronaldo rivalry.

The veteran said: "If you love Cristiano, there is no need to hate Messi. We have changed football history. Both of us started perfectly in new leagues."

Rivalry? I don't see it. For 15 years, we have shared the biggest stage. I'm not saying we are friends, but there is respect between us."

C. Ronaldo continued talking about his individual goal in his career, the 2026 World Cup, and the Saudi Arabian league.

About the individual goal: "850 goals in my career? That's a good achievement, but I want more. When it comes to individual achievements, I value team achievements more, but since you are asking, I would like to reach 900 goals."

2026 WC: "Is it possible to play in the 2026 World Cup? I'll be honest, I can't think that far ahead. Many things can happen, but at this moment, I want to enjoy this moment. I want to have a good European Championship, and then we'll see."

Saudi Arabian league: "I said that the Saudi Arabian league will grow and many stars will come. They called me crazy, but maybe I'm not that crazy," said C. Ronaldo.
