There were reports in the media suggesting that teams from the Middle East would like to try their luck in the UEFA Champions League tournament in the future.

However, UEFA president Aleksandras Čeferinas has a strict opinion on this matter.

"Only European clubs have the right to play in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League tournaments.

Only European federations, not clubs, have the right to request permission to organize finals.

We should change all our rules, but we don't want to do that," - said A. Čeferinas.
