The World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia (5:1) became special for Brazilian striker Neymar.

The 31-year-old sniper scored two goals and achieved a remarkable feat.

It is calculated that the experienced footballer surpassed even the legendary Pele in the records table.

Having scored a total of 79 goals in 125 matches, the striker can now proudly claim to be the most prolific Brazilian national team player of all time. Pele has 77 accurate shots to his name.

"I never could have imagined achieving such a record. I want to say that I am not a better player than Pele.

I have always wanted to create my own story and carve my name into Brazilian football history. Today I succeeded in doing that," said a happy Neymar after the match.
